Nutella frosted cupcakes

following the recipes i found in the net and from some food bloggers who shared their "expertise" and "experience", i tried my hands on baking and guess what ?. . . my first trials were not bad at all!

"Try and try until you succeed" so they say and the result - lovely and delicious cupcakes!

I baked these batch - 5 dozens - believe that??? for my friend after she tasted my cupcakes. Their congregation had a potluck gathering and she decided to bring cupcakes instead.

The recipe I used (from bakingbites -formerly bakingsheet http://bakingbites.com/category/recipes/cupcakes/page/4/) follows below.
Nutella Frosted Cupcakes

10 tbsp(140 grams) butter, softened
3/4 cup white sugar
3 eggs
1/2 tsp vanilla
1 3/4 cups (200 grams) sifted all-purpose flour
1/4 tsp salt
2 tsp baking powder
Nutella, approx. 1/3 cup

Preheat oven to 325F. Line 12 muffin tins with paper liners.

Cream together butter and sugar until light, 2 minutes. Add in eggs one at a time, until fully incorporated. Don't worry if the batter doesn't look smooth. Add vanilla. Stir in flour, salt and baking powder until batter is uniform and no flour remains.

Using an ice cream scoop, fill each muffin liner with batter. They should be 3/4 full, if you're not using a scoop. Top each cake with 1 1/2 tsp Nutella. Swirl Nutella in with a toothpick, making sure to fold a bit of batter up over the nutella.

Bake for 20 minutes. Remove to a wire rack to cool completely.

Makes 12.

Beef Mushroom

I tried this recipe I got from my friend...so easy lang daw eh di... subukan...
And what do you know??? easy nga lang!

Ingredients:

o Beef strips (i used beef rumpsteak)
o Onion - sliced
o Garlic - minced
o Green bell pepper – cut into strips
o Button mushroom – cut into two or three if big (i used canned one coz i forgot to buy the fresh ones)
o Knorr mushroom soup (powder)
o Water
o Salt
o Ground Pepper
o Soy sauce
o Oil for sauteeing

To Cook:

Heat up wok/pan. Pour oil just enough to sautee. When oil is hot, add onion and cook till clear, then garlic, then the beef strips. Sprinkler ground pepper, let simmer till beef is cooked through, then add mushroom and bell pepper. Simmer again.

While simmering, dissolve mushroom powder in little water (just enough to thicken the sauce). Pour over the beef, season with salt and pepper (to taste). Cook until sauce thickened to your liking.

tadah.... tapos na... okey ba???
at ito ang ulam namin last night...
